Teatro Verdi, ''Don Quichotte''

Trieste

Don Quixote and his faithful squire Sancho Panza are celebrated by a throwing of confetti.Behind there his a big backdrop manufactured with the film RTE - Temporale, here with a dégradé rear-illumination. Federico Tiezzi transferred to his mise-en-scène the styles' contamination that characterizes his directions, with quotations that in this case go from Goya and Velasquez up to the Ninteenth Century of Picasso and the silent cinema. The scenography by Pier Paolo Bisleri has an extreme formal cleanliness this time too, and uses few essential elements and colours with a dry elegance, in a show very appreciated by the public and that the critics that, praising him, defined it post-modern and minimal.
