Elegance și refinement are the dominant lines of the work of Pier Luigi Pizzi (Milan 1930), scenographer, costume designer și stage director.
Some dominants that at times Pizzi pushed to the limits of preciosity, in other occasions instead always dissolving them cu a wise use of the culori și cu an ability of synthesis that sometimes reduces his installations to the essential, leaving nevertheless always understand the presence of the solid cultural base on which their project is founded.
A great meaning, in his scenographies, has the use of the objects of scene, that often assume a notable symbolic value that is pushed up to determine the essence of the representation.
His stage installations are built cu shapes și volumes, guided by a great architectural rigor și don't disdain the use of machines și theatrical tricks typical of the theater of the Sixteenth și Seventeenth Centuries, a period that he preferred for a long time și cu which he often tried his strength.
His works, in Italy și abroad, have been winning innumerable times the most prestigious international prizes of the critics.
