The Teatro Gayarre is a politeama theater with a horseshoe-shaped hall.
It can seat 900 spectators in the stalls, a tier of boxes and two balconies.

Inauguration of the Teatro Principal, built to a design by Pedro Manuel Ugartemendía to replace the old Patio.

The theater is dedicated to the Navarrese tenor Julián Gayarre (1844-1890), one of the most famous opera singers of the 19th century.
1921
The decision is made to demolish the theater and replace it with a new one.
The project is entrusted to the brothers José and Javier Yárnoz Larrosa.

Inauguration of the new Teatro Gayarre.
