A society of local nobles sponsors the theater's construction.
The project is entrusted to Giovanni Andrea Mones with the supervision and interventions of Giuseppe Piermarini.

The theater is inaugurated with the name Teatro della Società.

Significant restoration work are carried out.

The theater is closed due to lack of funds.
1918
The theater is acquired by the Municipality of Casalmaggiore, which reopens it under the name Teatro Comunale.
1988-1990
Restoration and functional adaptation works are carried out, designed by Luciano Roncai (1941-2020).
