The series BD - Bieca decorazione (Sullen decoration) is the evolution of the preceding and well known series that the Milanese artist Franco Mazzucchelli (1939) entitled The Inflatables.

«Mazzucchelli traced in the reduced size of the picture the compendium of years of search between art and technology, and elaborated again with new results a vast experience in the analytical system of the forms; again the PVC at the center of ample and new layouts of colour in whose surface becomes animated the rhythmic movement of the shapes and again of the volumes; every ''picture'', as it happened with the big inflatable sculptures, follows the undulated rhythm of the volumetries, exposes a system of relationships and correspondences among lines of welding, develops the wide extension of the surface through the contamination and the exchange of polychromatic relationships.»
