The Teatro Rossini is the historic theatre of the city of Pesaro, where it is also the most important theatre.
It is an Italian-style theatre with a horseshoe-shaped hall and four tiers of boxes and a gallery that can accommodate 860 spectators.
1637
Inauguration of the Teatro del Sole, designed by Nicola Sabbatini, who oversaw the construction, incorporating parts of the old ducal stables into the theater building.
1816
Reconstruction of the theatre begins; the design and construction management are entrusted to the architect Pietro Ghinelli.
1818

At the initiative of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Pesaro, the Municipality of Pesaro, and AMAT - Associazione Marchigiana Attività Teatrali, the portal is endowed with a new textile equipment.
