The Tassels are typical ornaments for curtains and drapes, a trimming element used to decorate, embellish or characterize them, sometimes giving them a certain solemnity if not even pomp and magniloquence, as in some examples illustrated in ''The Adventure of the Curtain''.
They are made of threads of various lengths and sections, often intertwined to make them more voluminous and normally gilded, although it is possible to make them with threads of any colour.
