The Teatro Bonoris is an Italian-style theatre with a U-shaped hall, two tiers of boxes, and a gallery, 375 seatings.
The theater dates back to the 18th century; it was inaugurated in 1774, but its current appearance is due to the 1890 expansion, whose layout has been preserved in the recent renovation.
It retains the name of the banker Gaetano Bonoris, who financed the late 19th-century expansion to curry favor with the administration and acquire possession of the ancient municipal fortress, where he later built his own stately home.
