The organization of the Festival ''La Versiliana'' uses for the carrying out of its own summer theatrical activities an open-air stage that has a considerable size.

The open-air theater one in which the festival develops is situated in the heart of the pinewood of Marina di Pietrasanta, already dear to Gabriele D'Annunzio.

At the beginnings of the '900 it was installed in the pineta, for initiative of the writer and poet of the Versilia Enrico Pea, a stage destined to the representations of classical theater.

The tradition inaugurated by Pea restarted in 1980 with the activity developed by the Festival.
