The Teatro Martinetti is a Italian-style theatre with a U-shaped hall.
The stalls, two tiers of boxes and a gallery have a capacity of 250 seats.
It is an interesting example of the provincial tradition of imitating the architecture of the great 19th-century opera houses.

Construction of the theater begins at the initiative of a specially formed society of nobles.
The designers are Giuseppe and Cesare Martinetti.

Inauguration with the name of Teatro Sociale.
1887
The theater is acquired by the Municipality of Garlasco.
1920
The theater is dedicated to Giuseppe Martinetti, a descendant of the designers who fell in the First World War.
1977
The building is abandoned and dilapidated, but the Municipality of Garlasco begins maintenance work to prevent its total decay.
2006
Final restoration works designed and directed by Gian Carlo Carcano and reopening.
