PACKAGING, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
Standard packing
In the absence of special requests, the screens are
folded in cardboard boxes to minimize packaging and transportation costs.
Beyond a certain size limit (usually around 300 m², but it depends on the type of material) instead of cardboard boxes it is necessary to use custom-made crates.
The screens are folded with a technique that minimizes the signs left by the folds, but cannot avoid them completely.
To recover a sufficiently smooth surface, the folded screens must remain hung and stretched for a few days at a temperature of 20 / 24°C.
To make the signs of the folds much less visible, it is advisable to stretch the screens horizontally, equipping the sides with
WOS - S Eyelets or using
WMC - Miniclips.
It is essential to transport and store the screens maintaining the horizontal position of the boxes and avoiding crushing them.
Packaging on request
To avoid the effects of folding, screens can be shipped rolled on a tube, if their size and perimeter finishes allow it.
rolling requires processing times and packaging and transport costs that are higher than those of folding and has dimensional limits that must be evaluated specifically.
In addition to these limits, and within higher limits to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, it is possible to use a soft folding technique with transport in a custom-made crate.
Rolling on a tube and soft folding must be requested at the time of ordering.
Shipment
and storage
temperature
From 5°C to 30°C with relative humidity of less than 80%.
Keep away from direct sun light and from heat sources.
The vinyl is a thermosensitive material therefore it is necessary leave material reach its use temperature (20 / 24°C) for at least 24 hours before proceeding to the opening and the installation, particularly following air shipments, during which the vinyl film may have frozen.
In that case it is essential to wait for the film to recover to its use temperature, its handling at lower temperatures can cause irreversible damage.
INSTALLATION
Work in a clean place away from other works in progress.
Install the screen at the temperature of use (20 / 24°C) after having left it to rest for at least 24 hours at that temperature.
Pay attention to possible sharpened or cutting objects near the place of installation.
Make sure to have clean hands before handling the screen and touch the less possible its projection surface.
CLEANING
The place in which the screen is installed must reasonably be maintained clean and it has to avoid the accumulation of dust.
The screens can periodically be cleaned with a damp cloth, wet with water and a delicate detergent pressing it gently (the use of
YPT - Cleanser for vinyl materials - P2 Peroni is recommended).
In any case don't use abrasive materials or aggressive chemical products like acids, bleach or solvents.
MAINTENANCE
Avoid exposure to sunlight; the optimal temperature for the use and correct conservation of the screens is 20 / 24°C.
Storage at temperatures close to or below 0°C may cause breakage of the seams or tension points of the screens.
Do not place the screen near sources of intense heat (spotlights, radiators or other).
Storage for prolonged periods at temperatures above 30°C, for example in overheated places due to the summer heat, can cause the adhesive finishes to detach and the film to decay due to exudation, with consequent stiffening, cracking and possible breakage.
However, excessive heat reduces the useful life of vinyl film proportionally to the temperature level and exposure time.
Avoid storing any objects in contact with screens, including Ties, the vinyl film absorbs inks and dyes and will be irreversibly damaged.
