... of being faced with gigantic optical devices awaiting them.And, as often happens in the work of Ulla von Brandenburg, the public is invited to enter the exhibited works, to cross the thresholds materialized by means of large fabric sheets.

This preparatory passage, a breaking of the fourth wall that opens and fantasizes in the direction of the exhibition, offers a first immersion in the colour.A reflection on the nature and fragility of the material but also on its ability to immediately evoke a universe, false or real.

The reverse of Ulla von Brandenburg's curtains is as essential as their front, which exists precisely because its opposite also exists.

''The fabric allows me to camouflage, to hide, to dress the white cube of the museum and through that to change the systems of values and the structures of thought.''
