... of that of Venetian curtain and of Austrian curtain. In the sketch it's represented one of the various kinds of realization, that manual, without Truss and with 9SW - Longitudinal system ad hoc in which the lifting points connected to the inferior edge of the curtain are sent to the Counterweight, that neutralizes the weight of the curtain.Type of making without rods and lifting with soft bottom edge.

Ifema, ''Malinche'' The installation of a backdrop made of natural ASC - Sceno muslin with Roman opening. It measures 17.3 x h 10 m and has 6 lifting points. The opening mechanism is made with a motorized 9SW - Longitudinal system ad hoc.

... during the opening test.16 m high, with a diameter of 12 m and a circumference of almost 38 m, the curtain was actually composed by four sections, each one of them covering an angle of 90°.Each section could go up and down independently or contemporarily.
A detail of the circular carrying structure of the Roman curtain realized with 7QX30 - Square trusses 29 cm with one of the four Engines for special systems of the 9SW - Longitudinal system ad hoc that operated the lifting and the lowering of the curtain. The structure is here on the ground during the phases of installation.
The Roman curtain is made with flat making and it consists of a single tail that opens vertically, collectling the fabric from the bottom upwards by means of a system of cables and guiding rings sewn on the its back.
Its mechanics are therefore the same that are used by the Venetian opening and the Austrian opening, whose curtains are however totally different in terms of aesthetics.
Sober but elegant, it is not often found as a main curtain, while it is frequently used for tulle or muslin backdrops to be used as a support for projections during all kinds of shows, because it allows effectively and in a budget friendly way the vertical opening where a low stage height does not permit the installation of a Fly opening.
The flat making prevents the Roman curtain from being opened with a shaped bottom edge.
